Eyes Wide Shut

Paris Vogue celebrated 90 years with an Eyes Wide Shut–themed bal masqué at the Hôtel Pozzo di Borgo, the magnificent eighteenth-century private mansion on the rue de l’Université that echoes the memories of the glorious parties that Karl threw there, when he lived in its grandest garden front wing. Now, sadly denuded of the Lagerfeldiana that invested its rooms with such magic, it remains one of the most magnificent settings in a city of glorious interiors. Built by Lassurance, its staterooms were lavishly decorated by Pierre Mouret for the splendidly named Louis-Armand de Seiglières de Belleforière, the marquis de Soyecourt.
